Injured members of the Armed Forces were treated to a pre-Christmas makeover this week.
A tailor, who lists royalty and presidents among her customers, visited service personnel at Defence National Rehabilitation Centre Headley Court. Emma Willis’s charity, Style for Soldiers, has now provided more than 600 wounded, sick or injured soldiers with complimentary shirts to thank them for their sacrifices and contribution to the country.
A hat maker and a stylist from Dolce and Gabbana also measured some of the patients for hats. They also had their hair cut and were given grooming tips.
Emma, who has a shop on the renowned Jermyn Street in London, has now made her 1000th bespoke shirt for those who are undergoing rehabilitation. Some of them have special features such as velcro or false cufflinks for serving personnel with nerve damage or amputations.
