There is coverage in the Scottish media today that Prince Charles has visited the Queen Elizabeth Class aircraft carrier HMS Prince of Wales at Rosyth in Fife. Daily Star Scotland, Scottish Daily Express and Scottish Daily Mail are among the media outlets to report on the visit.They write that The Prince of Wales seemed happy to give ‘his’ ship the royal seal of approval and even gave the signal for the last section of the 920ft warship to be lowered into place at the yard. Now that it is in position, final welding can begin to make the carrier structurally complete, the papers say, and add it is hoped this will be finished by the end of July, ahead of the vessel'ss sea trials in 2019, before entering service the following year.
