RUSI speech
The Times reports on a speech that the Chief of the General Staff (CGS) Sir Nick Carter made at the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI) warfare conference in which he spoke about a scheme encouraging soldiers to come up with successful ways to make Army savings. The coverage looks at a successful case study of a pilot scheme at the Royal School of Artillery.
An MOD spokesperson said:
The MOD committed to delivering over £7 billion of efficiency savings by 2021 in the 2015 Spending Review. This continued saving equates to around £20 billion over 10 years, with all savings reinvested in defence. It is through this ambition and focus on value for money that we will deliver the vehicles, aircraft, and ships that will keep our Armed Forces at the cutting edge.
