Outlets including The Daily Telegraph, BBC News, The Sun, and Daily Mail report on the NAO investigation into equipment cannibalisation in the Royal Navy.

A Royal Navy spokesperson said:

Less than half a percent of parts we use come from swapping components, and we only do this when it’s absolutely necessary to get ships out of port and back onto operations more quickly. We continue to make improvements to how we manage this long-established practice.

The SunDaily MailThe Scotsman and others cover the launch of the poppy appeal ahead of Remembrance Day this year. Stories cover the Prime Minister's donation to the Royal British Legion after meeting fundraisers and war veterans at Downing Street, alongside the wreath laying ceremony in the newly-opened Garden of remembrance in George Square in Edinburgh.
