Type 45 destroyers

A Royal Navy spokesperson said:
Four of the six Type 45s are at sea today, The Royal Navy has a truly global presence with 25 ships and submarines currently at sea both in home waters and oceans around the world.
Since 2016, our Type 45 destroyers have proved indispensable on global missions to protect commercial shipping in the Gulf, support coalition attacks on Daesh, prevent the smuggling of weapons into Libya, and lead the NATO maritime task force in the Black Sea and the Mediterranean.
Emile Cilliers sentencing

An Army spokesperson said
We are aware that Sergeant Emile Cilliers has been sentenced to life imprisonment to serve a minimum of 18 years. In line with normal procedure when a soldier is sentenced to imprisonment, an application will be made for his discharge from the Army.
