Northern Ireland legacy

A number of papers, including the Daily Mail, Telegraph and Express carry articles related to Bloody Sunday.

A Government spokesperson said:

It is only due to the courageous efforts of our security forces that we have the relative peace and stability that Northern Ireland enjoys today. We are now considering how best to improve the current system and ensure that there is no unfair and disproportionate focus on former members of the Armed Forces.

The Defence Secretary, Gavin Williamson today marked International Women's Day alongside the most senior female military officer in the Armed Forces, Air Marshal Sue Gray.
On a visit to the Defence College of Technical Training in RAF Cosford, they met with some of the 45 female apprentices currently studying STEM trades at the college.
