Royal Marines training in Uganda
The Press Association recently visited Uganda to see the Royal Marines delivering training to the marines from the Ugandan People's Defence Force before they deploy to assist with the African Union Mission in Somalia. Reporting focusses on 1 Assault Group working across and around Lake Victoria to share vital skills, such as how to use boats tactically in and around the shore line, conduct patrols, operate vehicle checkpoints and stop and search on suspected crafts.
