It’s reported on broadcast outlets today that Amnesty International has accused Kurdish fighters in Iraq of crimes relating to the alleged displacement of Arab citizens and the demolition of homes.

Elsewhere Sky News carries a report that a former SAS soldier fighting ISIL has argued that the campaign will be unsuccessful unless it changes. Separately it is reported that Dutch investigators will publish their final findings into the crash of flight MH17 over Ukraine.

Afghanistan

Tributes have been paid in The Express, Daily Mail, The Mirror, The Sun and The Guardian to the two RAF servicemen, Flight Lieutenants Alan Scott and Geraint Roberts, who died when their helicopter crashed in Kabul, Afghanistan on Sunday. The full eulogy can be seen here.

Civil Aviation

The Times, Daily Mail and the Daily Telegraph write that international air safety agencies have warned that passenger airliners could be at risk from long-range Russian cruise missiles being fired at Syria. The papers say that the EU's aviation regulator have issued a safety bulletin after Russia launched missiles from warships in the Caspian Sea towards targets in Syria nearly 1,000 miles away. It is reported that the missiles' route cuts across busy flight paths between Europe, the Gulf and Asia.

Syria
The Independent and The Times report that US air crews have dropped 50 tonnes of ammunition to rebel forces in Syria. Separately the Daily Telegraph reports that the leader of the opposition will request to become a Privy Counsellor in order to be briefed on intelligence matters.
