Syria
A package on Sky News looks at the desperate situation in Syria, including the ceasefire and humanitarian aid being provided to local people.
Libya
The Telegraph reports that former UK officer Colonel Rupert Wieloch has said that a potential military intervention in Libya could carry similar risks as the Afghanistan campaign.
An MOD spokesperson said:
The UK continues to work with international partners on how best to support the new Libyan government. All planning has been focussed on training Libyan Security Forces to provide their own security to the Government and Libyan people. No decisions have been made about the future deployment of any British military forces.
Cap Badges
Several papers, including the Daily Mirror, The New Day and The Sun report that the stolen cap badges of an SAS soldier involved in breaking the 1980 Iranian Embassy siege have been returned to his widow. This follows articles that the badges were taken during a burglary.
