Today’s defence related media coverage includes reporting on the health effects of the Gulf War conflict.

Gulf War Syndrome

The Mirror reports this morning on the health effects on veterans of the Gulf War conflict.

An MOD spokesperson said:

We are indebted to all those who served our country in the Gulf wars. We have routine compensation schemes in place for personnel who have been injured as part of their service.

We have already sponsored significant research into the effects of this conflict on veterans and have no plans to conduct further studies.
