The Times, Telegraph (online), Daily Star (online), South China Morning Post (online), ABC News (online), CTV News (online),and Philippine Star (online) all cover Defence Secretary Gavin Williamson’s visit to Singapore for the Shangri-La Dialogue, a regional security forum. Coverage includes the Defence Secretary’s comments that Britain is sending the ‘strongest signals’ on free navigation in the South China Sea, with three British warships being the first deployments to the region in a generation. The Defence Secretary was also quoted stating that the Royal Navy will continue to monitor North Korean vessels suspected of carrying prohibited goods, calling the mission ‘vitally important’.
