The Sun reports on the Defence Safety Authority Fire Safety review which is critical of the MOD compliance with fire safety regulations. The report identifies three barracks which have been singled out for criticism by the safety inspectors.
An MOD spokesperson said:
All occupied buildings owned by the MOD meet national building and fire regulations and we regularly inspect our sites to ensure they meet safety standards. We are making improvements to fire safety across our sites, including bolstering our resources for fire assurance.
